FOOD ALLERGY SKIN TESTING

Food allergy skin testing is the most accurate and preferred method of diagnosing food allergies.

We use plastic devices called "Multi-tests." Each unit has eight "prickers" – each of which has a drop of the liquid food extract applied.

The Multi-tests are lightly pushed on the back. We wait 15 minutes for the results. Any area that gets red and appears as a small hive is interpreted as positive. Your results will be reviewed with you at that time, and a copy of the testing will be provided.
